Trustee services
We manage, invest, and distribute trust assets exactly as the trust intends, and keep beneficiaries informed.
We handle the whole administration: accounts, valuations, investments with an adviser, and distributions on the trust’s terms.
Beneficiaries receive written accountings on a regular schedule.
Health care directive agent
When you can’t speak for yourself, we speak for you and make sure your wishes are followed.
We go to appointments, ask the hard questions, and make sure the care team follows your directive.
Family far away gets a clear written summary after each visit.
Power of attorney representation
We act for you on finances, health care, or both, and only within the authority you’ve given.
Every decision stays within the document and is recorded with the reason.
If a relative already holds the power of attorney, we can support them instead.
Financial and health care support
We keep everyday life running: bills paid, benefits current, and problems caught early.
We pay bills, keep benefits and insurance current, sort the mail, and question unfamiliar charges early.
It is also the most affordable way to start working with a fiduciary.
Estate and settlement administration
We settle the estate carefully, so every beneficiary knows exactly where things stand.
We value the estate, settle debts and final taxes with your CPA and attorney, and distribute to beneficiaries with a clear account.
Property sales may be billed through the real estate fee instead of hourly.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
The questions families put to us first, answered plainly.
What is a professional fiduciary?
A professional fiduciary is a licensed, bonded individual appointed to manage money, property, and care decisions for someone else, serving as trustee, conservator, executor, or agent. The role carries a legal duty of loyalty: decisions must serve the person or the beneficiaries, never the fiduciary.
In California, professional fiduciaries are licensed and regulated by the Professional Fiduciaries Bureau, which requires qualifying education, an examination, a background check, and ongoing continuing education.
When should a family hire one instead of naming a relative?
Name a professional when no relative is available, when the relative lives far away or lacks the time, when family conflict would make any relative’s decisions suspect, or when the estate is complex enough that a mistake would be costly. Serving as trustee is real work carrying real liability, and many families choose to spare a relative from it.
What is the difference between a trustee and a conservator?
A trustee’s authority comes from a trust document and reaches only the assets held in that trust. A conservator’s authority comes from a court order and can reach a living person’s finances, their care, or both. Trusteeship is usually private; conservatorship is supervised by the court, with inventories and accountings filed for review.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Fedora Fiduciary holds California professional fiduciary license #1701. Where a court appointment requires a bond, one is obtained in the amount the court sets. Client funds are held separately from firm operating accounts and reconciled monthly.
